June 2017 Reading Wrap Up

June 2017 Reading Wrap Up

I typically do not plan monthly TBR’s because they never work out. June was no different really so let’s just jump into what I actually ended up reading (ignoring the books I have listed as currently reading on Goodreads). There are some contenders for best books of the year in this month’s reading wrap up. Below I will have links to the Goodreads page & a link to purchase each book. Believe me if you don’t have copies of Under the Rose-Tainted Sky, We Should All be Feminists or you haven’t pre-ordered Obsessed you need to get on it.

Under Rose-Tainted Sky

rating: ★★★★★

quick thoughts: #ownvoices, mental illness story (OCD) where the love interest does not “fix” the girl

The Ocean at the End of the Lane

rating: not rated

quick thoughts: not sure what I read. The beginning was interesting enough but then the story got weird. I considered DNFing it several times. I pushed through until it got good again though. My favorite parts were at the parts with Lettie at the Hempstock farm. The Hempstock women – Gran, Ginnie, & Lettie were my favs!
