Book Cover Trend: CROWNS
Today I am sharing another trend I can’t stop seeing, and that’s crowns. So magnificent. A crown is the traditional symbolic form of headgear worn by a monarch or by a deity, for whom the crown traditionally represents power, legitimacy, victory, triumph, honor, and glory, as well as immortality, righteousness, and resurrection. So a crown can symbolize quite a bit. A crown is often an emblem of the monarchy, a monarch’s government, or items endorsed by it. Crowns can signify wealth and power, but it can also be used more lightly as a costume piece.
I would rather go to any extreme than suffer anything that is unworthy of my reputation, or of that of my crown. ~Elizabeth I
Which crown would you nab from these covers? I would definitely take the crown from Stars Above by Marissa Meyers.
